Data Engineer

For the market leader in the supermarkt branche we are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join the Data Democracy project. This role will focus on data ingestion, transformation, and architectural support to ensure optimal system performance and user experience. key responsibilities

1. Data Ingestion:

Implement data ingestion processes on the Azure data platform for various file formats (CSV, XLSX, JSON, etc.).

Develop and automate recurrent data ingestion workflows to eliminate the need for manual intervention.

2. Data Transformation:

Manage the flow of data through different layers on the Azure data platform.

Prepare and transform data for self-service consumption.

Clean and aggregate data to ensure it is ready for use in a local Synapse view, enabling BI analysts to create Power BI semantic models.

Optimize data processes to minimize cloud consumption costs and enhance user experience.

3. Data Architecture Support:

Provide expertise on end-to-end (E2E) data architecture to guide the project team in developing optimal architectural solutions.

Balance and optimize data processes across various steps and applications in the E2E data chain.

qualifications

Demonstrated experience in setting up data projects on the Azure data platform.

Proficiency with tools such as Databricks and Power Automate.

Experience with Visual Studio Code and Github

Strong team player with the ability to motivate and collaborate with colleagues.

Capable of working autonomously in a dynamic environment.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.

Proactive in engaging with stakeholders to ensure project timelines and deliverables are met.

Fluent in English; proficiency in French and Dutch is a plus.

A positive and enjoyable personality, making you a pleasure to work with.

We offer a full-time project for 3 months or a part-time role for 6 months.

You can fill this position through Randstad Professionals as a consultant (with an employee contract) or as freelancer.
