Our client, active in the energy sector is currently looking for a proactive and results-driven self-employed Finance Business Partner in the Brussels region for a period of 6 months.

The Finance Business Partner's key responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborate proactively with BP, accounting and consolidation teams to identify areas for improvement in reporting processes (tools, way of working, reporting templates...)
  • Work closely with external consultants to optimize the utilization of Tagetik for financial reporting
  • Conduct a comprehensive review of IFRS / accounting technical topics to ensure accuracy and compliance, topics include but not limited to IFRS 16, goodwill & purchase price allocation
  • Develop and implement strategies to streamline reporting processes and enhance collaboration within Luminus finance team (accounting and consolidation teams) and with local affiliates
  • Help to develop internal controls based on gap analysis / identified areas of improvement
  • Provide guidance and recommendations on enhancing reporting efficiency and accuracy.

The key qualifications required for this interim management job:

  • You have a bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field; master's degree preferred.
  • You have minimum 5 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or consulting roles.
  • You have a proficiency in Tagetik or similar financial reporting software.
  • You have a strong understanding of IFRS standards and technical accounting topics, including consolidation.
  • You have excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • You are able to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • You are detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • You speak fluent English, with a working knowledge of French or Dutch.
