Traineeship Europees Parlement
Een traineeship bij het Europees Parlement (EP) is een unieke mogelijkheid om na je studie praktische ervaring op te doen in een internationale, multiculturele, politieke sfeer. Deze betaalde, zogenoemde 'Robert Schuman traineeships' staan open voor alle afgestudeerden vanaf bachelorniveau en duren 5 maanden. Er zijn traineeplekken beschikbaar bij de verschillende beleidscommissies, de onderzoeksdienst, de afdeling communicatie en ook voor vertalers.
Voor wie
Je kan solliciteren op een traineeship bij het Europees Parlement als je:
in het bezit bent van een diploma op minimaal bachelorniveau;
minimaal twee officiële EU-talen beheerst;
een geldige verklaring omtrent gedrag kan aanleveren;
niet langer dan twee opeenvolgende maanden voor een EU-instelling of EU-orgaan gewerkt hebt.
Waar ga je werken en wat ga je doen
Het Europees Parlement biedt traineeplekken bij de verschillende beleidscommissies, de onderzoeksdienst, de afdeling communicatie en voor vertalers. Er zijn relatief veel traineevacatures in het brede domein van communicatie.
Het grootste deel van de traineeplekken is in Brussel of Luxemburg. Maar ook elders binnen Europa, waaronder ook Den Haag zijn interessante traineefuncties vacant. Voor liefhebbers van vertalen alleen al zijn er vele traineeships beschikbaar.
Als trainee draag je bij aan de werkzaamheden van het Europees Parlement en krijg je inzicht in de processen en het beleid van de Europese instelling die de EU-burgers vertegenwoordigt. Je gaat aan de slag bij het secretariaat-generaal van het EP. Het secretariaat-generaal coördineert de wetgevingsprocedures en de (plenaire) vergaderingen. Daarnaast ondersteunt het secretariaat-generaal de verschillende organen van het EP en de Europarlementariërs bij hun werk. Als onderdeel van je traineeship woon je ook een plenaire vergadering in Straatsburg bij.
