We are looking for skilled Biomanufacturing Process Engineers eager to contribute to our team at UCB's facility in Braine-l'Alleud, Belgium. This role involves working on advanced projects related to equipment, systems, and integrating product, engineering, and automation components.

We are seeking Junior, Medior & Senior candidates for this role.

About the Position

As a Biomanufacturing Engineer, you will oversee operations and manage projects that improve the interaction between product specifications, engineering precision, and automation. Your role is crucial in driving innovations and improving our biomanufacturing processes.

Team Collaboration

You will work alongside experts in biomanufacturing, such as bioprocess engineers, automation engineers, and product development scientists. Collaborating with these teams, you will drive enhancements and ensure new technologies are seamlessly integrated into our production line.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects that combine product, engineering, and automation to boost system performance.
  • Create project plans outlining budgets, timelines, and resources to align with organizational goals.
  • Facilitate project kick-off meetings and provide ongoing leadership to project teams.
  • Act as the main contact for internal teams and external partners to ensure project components meet quality standards.
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Challenge existing protocols and propose innovative solutions for operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Bioprocess Engineering, Biotechnology, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in biomanufacturing managing multidisciplinary projects.
  • People management experience for Senior level.
  • Skills in project management and familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Knowledge of automation systems and critical process parameters.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English and French.
  • Dedication to making significant contributions in biomanufacturing.
