Job Description

The Position

Join the Commercial Operations Department / Data & Commercial Excellence team to support the business within the Organon Mid Europe cluster (France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland). As a Sales Force Effectiveness Analyst, you will contribute to the business strategy, collaborate on sales forecasts, and optimize the impact of sales forces by managing the Sales Incentive Plan-system.

By leveraging your business acumen, analytical skills, and ability to synthesize various sources of information, such as sales data and industry studies, you will provide valuable recommendations and become a strategic partner for Marketing and Sales teams.

Collaborating closely with the Data and Performance Analyst, you will develop recommendations to drive strategic goals and enhance overall performance.

The Analyst role at Organon embodies entrepreneurial spirit, precision, and boldness, fostering collaboration across departments within Commercial Operations as well as with Marketing and Sales teams.

Responsibilities

Work in tandem with Marketing and Sales to develop a segmentation and targeting strategy that enhances customer understanding and enables personalized customer engagement:

  • Define key criteria for customer segmentation in consultation with Marketing and Customer Engagement Manager.
  • Collaborate with CRM Admin on segmentation implementation.
  • Lead segmentation/targeting activities with Sales and CRM Administration.

Additionally, the Sales Force Effectiveness Analyst plays a crucial role in shaping organizational strategy and Marketing initiatives through market study management:

  • Create and manage an annual study plan tailored to specific therapeutic areas/geographies.
  • Provide guidance on study relevance and feasibility.
  • Challenge methodologies and results with third-party service providers.
  • Negotiate budget allocation for studies.
  • Ensure timely completion of studies.
  • Coordinate centralized studies with Global and Cluster Marketing teams.

Oversee the execution of the study plan, ensuring actionable insights are derived from study results.

Collaborate with Finance and Marketing teams to develop accurate sales forecasts.

  • Create forecasting models customized to product portfolios and Cluster geographies.
  • Analyze relevant data to assess market trends in collaboration with the Data and Performance Analyst.
  • Challenge Marketing teams on product growth and market share assumptions.

Drive the development and implementation of tailored Sales Incentive Plan programs to support field teams in achieving and surpassing sales targets.

  • Oversee the end-to-end SIP process for eligible employees.
  • Define and propose bonus structures for each team.
  • Lead the definition of quantitative and qualitative sales force objectives.
  • Manage the operational process:
    • Coordinate with business contacts on bonus indicators selection/validation.
    • Supervise the service provider responsible for bonus calculations.
    • Ensure accuracy of bonus calculations.
  • Regularly audit performance and expected outcomes of variable compensation plans.
  • Serve as the primary contact for field bonus-related inquiries.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills

  • Hold an Advanced degree in Science, Engineering, and/or Economics.
  • 3-5 years of experience in an Analyst/Sales Force Effectiveness role.
  • Proficient in distribution networks and pharmaceutical markets in France/Belgium/Switzerland.
  • Strong analytical capabilities to transform data into actionable insights.
  • Ability to articulate recommendations effectively.
  • Skilled in conveying technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated business acumen.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Customer-centric approach, adaptability.
  • Embrace rigor, reliability, and commitment to project management.
  • Possess a pragmatic mindset.
  • Proficiency in Office software (Advanced Excel, Access, etc.) and Business applications.
  • Familiarity with Pharmaceutical industry databases and variable compensation principles.
  • Fluent in English.

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills

  • Desirable experience in Market Research.
