Functiebeschrijving

Het Nationaal Control Centrum (NCC) wordt sterk gedreven door een continu wijzigend energielandschap (decarbonisatie en decentralisatie van het productiepark, elektrificatie van de maatschappij, …), wijzigende regulering en een verdere integratie van de Europese elektriciteitsmarkten. Dit alles leidt tot de uitvoering van bijzonder ambitieuze investeringsplannen in het Belgische hoogspanningsnet, gecombineerd met een continu evoluerende manier om dit netwerk uit te baten.
Om aan al deze uitdagingen zo goed mogelijk het hoofd te bieden, is het NCC opgedeeld in 5 departementen:

  • Energy Scheduling & Balancing;
  • Operational Planning;
  • Real-Time Grid Operations;
  • Emergency, Projects and Processes;
  • Power System Operations & Security.

Als System Engineer zal je deel uitmaken van het departement Real-Time Grid Operations. Na een uitgebreide opleidingsperiode, zal je concreet volgende taken vervullen:

  • Samen met je collega's sta je in voor de permanente bewaking, evenwicht tussen vraag en aanbod van Elektriciteit en bijsturing van het Belgische hoogspanningsnet.
  • Je voert real-time netveiligheidsanalyses uit en neemt op basis daarvan de nodige topologische maatregelen om de operationele veiligheid van het net te kunnen blijven waarborgen.
  • Je beslist, in samenspraak met je collega's, in real-time over in- en uitdienstnames van netelementen in het kader van onderhoudswerkzaamheden en/of investeringsprojecten.
  • Je bent, samen met je collega's, medeverantwoordelijk voor het behoud van het evenwicht tussen vraag en aanbod van elektriciteit in België.
  • Je anticipeert op overbelastingen op het (inter)nationale hoogspanningsnet en zoekt samen met je collega's van beide regionale controlecentra binnen Elia, alsook met je internationale contacten bij andere transmissienetbeheerders naar oplossingen om de operationele veiligheid van het Belgische en het Europese net te blijven garanderen.
  • Je evalueert en beslist over het toestaan van bijkomende of niet-voorziene vermogenstransporten of wijzigingen in het productieprogramma.
  • Bij ernstige netstoringen ben je medeverantwoordelijk voor het voorkomen van een black-out in een gedeelte of het geheel van België. In voorkomend geval, neem je een sturende rol op bij het heropbouwen van het hoogspanningsnet.
  • Daarnaast werk je mee aan de projecten van de dienst en draag je zo bij aan de efficiëntie van het NCC en haar impact op de energietransitie.

Jouw profiel

  • Je hebt een diploma van industrieel of burgerlijk ingenieur of gelijkwaardig door ervaring. Bij voorkeur heb je een specialisatie in elektriciteit, elektronica of elektromechanica.
  • Je hebt een goede kennis van het Belgische en Europese elektriciteitsnet en/of van de energiesector.
  • Een eerste professionele ervaring is een pluspunt. Ervaring in een dispatchingomgeving of in netexploitatie is een extra troef.
  • Ervaring in de elektriciteitssector is een pluspunt.
  • Je spreekt vloeiend 3 talen: Nederlands, Frans en Engels.
  • Je bent bereid om te werken in shifts 24 uren op 7 (extra premie).
  • Je bent sterk analytisch ingesteld.
  • Je blijft rustig in stresserende situaties en kan snel beslissen op basis van soms onvolledige informatie.
  • Je kan constructief en assertief communiceren met collega's uit de andere teams of andere landen.
  • Je werkt graag in teamverband.

In de uitoefening van zijn functie krijgt de werknemer toegang tot zones waarvoor een voorafgaande veiligheidsverificatie zal uitgevoerd worden in toepassing van de Screeningswet van 11 december 1998.
