Functieomschrijving As a welding engineer, you will prepare welding files thoroughly and supervise their execution. You are technically responsible for the project from A to Z and have the following tasks:
  • Drawing up welding files in accordance with codes and customer requirements
  • Organising and following up welding tests and the associated administration
  • Optimising existing welding processes
  • Supporting and advising other departments such as sales, project managers, technical draughtsmen, designers and production
  • Contributing to welding improvements
  • Qualifying welders and drawing up the necessary documentation
Profiel
  • Besides a bachelor/master diplola, you are in possession of the diploma IWE or IWT or willing to get one
  • Relevant experience in the metal sector is a plus
  • You have knowledge of welding procedures and related standards (or you are willing to learn this)
  • Experience with quality management is a plus- You have a social attitude and are communicative
  • You have a flexible attitude and are willing to learn and grow in terms of tasks and responsibilities
  • You have a good knowledge of the common software packages
  • You have a good knowledge of the English language
