GL Accountant

The GL Accountant will be responsible for managing the general ledger, month-end closing activities, and supporting the financial reporting processes. This role will also involve working closely with the team to ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.

Description

• Oversee and manage the general ledger.
• Execute month-end closing procedures and postings.
• Contribute to financial reporting and year-end audit preparation.
• Collaborate with the team to improve financial procedures.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Assist in the development of internal control policies.
• Participate in special projects as required.

Profile

A successful GL Accountant should have:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with relevant accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in French or Dutch. Next to that, you are fluent in English
• A degree in accounting with 3 - 5 years of working experience in accounting
