You will be able to manage and supervise major projects from 30 to 150 M€ (international) in the field of mining & chemical Industry including the new innovative CO2 capture systems.You will lead or supervise multiple key industrial projects at Group level from initial concept design through project engineering and approval, to project execution and commissioning.You will also be responsible to roll out and maintain Group standards, while stimulating collaboration and the sharing of best practices across the Group.Your role and responsibilities:
  • Participate with the various stakeholders (Plant, Business Units, Division/Regional Technical Department, ...) in the definition of projects in the design phase.
  • Ensure the technical and budgetary consistency of the preliminary projects and basic studies before formal authorization of commitment.
  • Recommend engineering & construction implementation strategies in coordination with the Internal decision makers, considering the nature and location of the project.
  • Negotiate and manage studies and construction contracts with Engineering companies and Contractors.
  • Ensure the realization of projects, respecting the objectives: safety, quality, costs and deadlines.
  • Solve technical problems related to the start-up of units and provide lesson learned for improving the next projects.
Exigences
  • You have a technical knowledge in construction and engineering methods and is keen to share it within the engineering family of the Group.
  • Master in Engineering (Civil, Chemical or Mechanical)
  • Experience in the field of lime, cement, glass, chemical or steel.
  • Min. 15 years of engineering experience
  • English proficiency, any other European language (French or German) is a plus
  • International experience
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to organize and manager a team
  • Dynamic, autonomous and decision-maker
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Conceptual design (“fit-for-purpose”)
  • Proven track records of successfully delivering large engineering projects
  • Accuracy and eyes for details
