Welcome to the Central Distribution Center Gent, the biggest warehouse of the Volvo Group, operated by more than 850 brilliant and engaged people, who do their outmost daily to receive and deliver spare parts to our customers all over the world.
Our Human Resource team is going through a transformation and become People and Culture team.
We are now looking for a new People & Culture Manager to complete the CDC Leadership team. To be successful in this role you act according to the Volvo Leadership Values and care deeply for the well-being and the development of your team members and colleagues.
We want the Leader of People & Culture to be a strategic partner and key contributor to the company’s culture performance, and success. To drive engagement and inspiration as they build and install trust amongst all team members.

Your ideal job?

* You act as a change agent to drive continuous improvement in a culture of high performance
* You build strong relationships with the leaders on strategic, tactical, and operational levels (from employee complex issues to individual development plans or organization design activities)
* You are the leader of both the People & Culture team and the Health and Safety team
* You drive and provide analyses and guidelines in areas such as Competence Development, Talent Management, Performance Management, Employee Relations, Workforce Planning, Recruitment and Compensation and Benefits.
* You secure and develop collaboration with all relevant stakeholders on the Gent site and within the Volvo People & Culture community Profile Your Profile

* You know how to work in a rapid and complex changing environment. Managing multiple priorities simultaneously whilst being result-orientated is your talent.
* You are an energizing team player beyond the lines of a hierarchical organization who contributes to a high level of employment engagement.
* You have proven leadership skill, ability to demonstrate a clear vision and a global mindset.

* You have excellent communication skills in Dutch and English, both verbal and written (including effective presentation skills).

Your Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related discipline
* 10 years' experience in human resources including at least 5 years of managing an HR team and/or function.
* Thorough knowledge of Belgium employment law and HR professional practices
* Experience working in a union environment and or with union employees is required. Offer Bedrijfswagen Almost convinced?
