Dark Light is currently seeking a skilled freelance Data Engineer for a project with one of our clients in the technology sector. This role is an exciting opportunity for professionals with a background in data engineering and a specialization in the TimeXtender platform. We are looking for someone who can effectively collaborate on digital transformation initiatives, bringing their expertise to help optimize and manage data for business intelligence purposes.
TasksThe Data Engineer will work closely with end-users to understand their analytics needs, translating these into actionable insights by identifying the relevant internal and external data sources.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as a technical expert in cross-functional digital projects, focusing on data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) using TimeXtender.
- Developing and optimizing dimensional data models on Microsoft Azure or S4HANA Business Warehouse.
- Implementing and enforcing stringent data governance protocols to ensure the highest levels of data quality, security, and integrity.
The ideal candidate for this role is proficient in data engineering and has strong functional and technical analytical skills.
Essential qualifications include:
- Expertise with the TimeXtender platform for ETL processes.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, with Dutch as a plus.
- Availability for remote work with occasional travel to client locations in Brussels or Antwerp.
