Join a global Analytical Development organization within a Pharmaceutical Development & Supply department. The team develops dissolution and in vitro release methods for immediate, modified, and targeted release formulations across oral, parenteral, and other administration routes, using both hands-on experimentation and predictive modelling/data science.
As a Dissolution Scientist, you'll design, plan, and follow up on dissolution work to support development of the best possible dosage forms. You'll contribute to biopharmaceutical assessment strategy (predicting in vivo exposure from in vitro data), biorelevant method improvement, clinically relevant QC method/specification development, automation strategy, and data modelling approaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and follow up on dissolution testing work
- Contribute to biopharmaceutical assessment strategy and biorelevant method development
- Support development of clinically relevant QC methods and specifications
- Contribute to automation strategy and mechanistic understanding of in vitro dissolution
- Progress data modelling and analysis approaches
- Participate in technical/strategic meetings across global sites
- Represent Dissolution Sciences in cross-functional teams (formulation development, pharmaceutical sciences, clinical pharmacology, QA, regulatory)
- Write and review technical/scientific documents
What You Bring
- PhD in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, or related field — or Master's degree with 2 years' relevant experience
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical sciences relevant to small molecule formulation development, analytical chemistry, compliance, and GMP
- Dissolution testing (QC and/or biorelevant) or method development experience is a plus
- Experience with statistical/data modelling, DoE, or MVA is a plus
- Experience with laboratory automation or equipment qualification is a plus
