Role Description

As a Calculator HVAC en Sanitair at Colson CTB, you will be responsible for preparing technical calculations and sizing for HVAC and sanitary installations based on project specifications and building plans. You will analyze customer requirements, coordinate with project managers and engineers, and create cost estimates and bills of materials that support accurate proposals. The role involves reviewing technical drawings, selecting appropriate components, and ensuring that designs comply with relevant standards and energy-efficiency guidelines. You will maintain clear documentation, support colleagues with technical advice, and help optimize solutions for performance and budget. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Bilzen, with part of the work performed on-site and part remotely from home.

Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of HVAC and sanitary systems, including heating, ventilation, cooling, and plumbing design principles.
  • Experience with technical calculations, sizing of equipment, and preparation of bills of materials or cost estimates.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, building plans, and specifications.
  • Proficiency with relevant software tools (e.g., calculation software, CAD viewing tools, and MS Office).
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and accuracy in numerical work.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently in a hybrid environment.
  • Preferably a technical degree in HVAC, mechanical engineering, building technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Knowledge of applicable standards, regulations, and energy-efficiency requirements related to HVAC and sanitary installations is an asset.
  • Willingness to continuously learn and stay up to date with new technologies and industry developments.
