Mendix developer

We’re looking for an experienced Mendix Developer to join our client’s team and take ownership of the design, development and delivery of Mendx applications. This is a hands‑on role for someone who can work independently across the full Mendix lifecycle, from architecture and domain modelling through integration, development, deployment and optimisation.

Your Role & Responsibilities

You will be responsible for building robust and maintainable Mendix solutions within a modern application landscape.

• Design, build and deliver Mendix applications end to end using Mendix Studio Pro and Mendix Cloud
• Translate functional requirements into scalable application designs
• Define application architecture, domain models, data structures and security
• Develop high‑quality microflows and nanoflows, including appropriate error handling and logging
• Build reusable modules and apply appropriate Mendix Marketplace/App Store module governance
• Integrate Mendix applications with external systems using REST, OData and messaging technologies
• Design integrations within a microservices‑oriented architecture, including API design, service decomposition and clear service boundaries
• Work with Git for source control and contribute within an Agile/Scrum delivery environment
• Independently take ownership of development cases from analysis through delivery

Your Profile

We are looking for a self‑sufficient mid‑to‑senior Mendix specialist with strong development fundamentals rather than someone focused mainly on configuration.

• Solid professional Mendix development experience
• Minimum Mendix Advanced Developer Certification
• Strong knowledge of Mendix Cloud and its core capabilities
• Strong understanding of application architecture, domain/data modelling and Mendix security best practices
• Experience developing reusable components and maintainable Mendix application landscapes
• Proven experience integrating Mendix with external services and applications
• Good understanding of microservices architectures and APIs
• Experience with Git
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Able to work independently and take technical ownership
• Professional fluency in Dutch and English

Additional Assets

Additional Mendix and integration expertise will be considered a strong advantage:

• Mendix Expert Certification
• Experience with multi‑application Mendix landscapes and bilateral data exchange between Mendix applications
• SAP, CPI or other ERP integration experience
• Event‑driven architectures using Kafka, RabbitMQ or similar messaging technologies
• Experience with manufacturing environments, including MES, ERP integrations, production processes or shopfloor/machine integrations
• Mendix Cloud deployment, scaling and multi‑environment management
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
• Mendix performance optimisation and application security
• Experience using AI or coding agents to accelerate software development
• Front‑end capabilities including SASS/SCSS and CSS, combined with a good understanding of UX/UI consistency
• Experience setting up or working with CI/CD pipelines
