Production Manager Bulgaria

Kreon is a leading manufacturer of architectural lighting solutions and metal system ceilings for prestigious projects worldwide. From our headquarters in Oudsbergen (Belgium) and our production facility in Shumen (Bulgaria), we develop innovative, high-quality solutions for our customers every day.

Our site in Shumen currently operates in a modern production environment covering 8,000 m² and employs approximately 60 people. Our ambition is clear: to continue growing towards an organization of 100 employees and further develop the site into a strong, high-performing manufacturing facility.

To support this growth, we are looking for an experienced and hands-on Production Manager Bulgaria. In this international role, you will spend approximately 50% of your time in Oudsbergen (Belgium) and 50% in Shumen (Bulgaria), acting as the key link between both production sites.

You will spend the majority of your time in Shumen, where you will lead and further develop the local production organization. At the same time, you will ensure close collaboration with our headquarters in Oudsbergen and act as the connecting link between both locations.

Your responsibilities

As Production Manager, you will take operational leadership of our production facility in Shumen.

• Lead production activities and local teams in Bulgaria.
• Continue building a high-performing manufacturing organization.
• Coach and develop team leaders and employees.
• Ensure quality, safety, efficiency, and delivery reliability.
• Identify improvement opportunities and translate them into concrete actions.
• Maintain effective coordination with the team in Oudsbergen.
• Support knowledge sharing and the implementation of best practices between both sites.
• Report on performance, progress, and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will spend approximately 50% of your time in Shumen and 50% in Oudsbergen, allowing you to gain a deep understanding of both organizations and maximize collaboration between the two locations.

Your profile

You combine technical expertise with natural leadership skills. You understand how manufacturing environments operate, can successfully guide people through change, and excel at building bridges between teams and cultures.

In addition, you have:

• A technical degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in metal processing, machinery manufacturing, or industrial production is a strong asset.
• Excellent command of Bulgarian and a good command of English.
• Willingness to travel frequently between Belgium and Bulgaria.
• A pragmatic and results-oriented mindset.
• Strong people management skills combined with a hands-on approach.
• Residence in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, or willingness to relocate/travel internationally.

Experience with the following production technologies is a significant advantage:

• Perforation and punching lines
• Laser cutting
• Wet painting and powder coating
• Press brakes and presses
• Spinning and stamping
• Welding processes
• Assembly and production lines
