As a Business Controller, you act as the single point of accountability for the financial steering, governance and optimization of Tractebel’s structure costs at Business Unit level.
Beyond financial reporting, the role is fundamentally about:
- Ensuring robustness, transparency and discipline in a complex, international environment
- You operate at the intersection of Business Areas, Support Functions, Executive Management and ENGIE Group, with high exposure and autonomy.

Your key responsibilities
Structure cost single point of accountability:
- Own the end to end financial steering of structure costs across the BU.
- Deliver clear, decision oriented analysis of monthly performance, deviations, and trends versus budget, prior periods and objectives.
- Identify structural risks, inefficiencies and savings opportunities, explain their drivers, and translate them into concrete management options.
Financial steering : Forecasting, Budget & Business Partnering:
- Lead the structure cost forecasting, including Annual Budget and Medium Term Plan (MTP), by animating high level financial dialogue with Business Areas and Support Functions.
- Challenge assumptions, synthesize financial and operational information, and contribute to the definition of BU targets.
- Drive structured action plans, ensure disciplined execution follow up, and provide clear, synthetic status reporting to Management.
Governance, data integrity & compliance:
- Guarantee the reliability, consistency and auditability of structure cost actuals and forecasts
- Guarantee coherence, quality, and compliance of financial data, in line with internal financial policies and external standards (IFRS).
- Ensure the quality and consistency of intercompany flows, allocations and reinvoicing mechanisms within Tractebel and with ENGIE Group.
- Act as owner of structure cost governance including on integrity of WBS structure, KPIs, dashboards, allocation logic, drivers
Executive Reporting & Performance Management:
- Produce executive level reporting and communication, synthesizing actuals, Budget, and MTP outlooks for BU Management and the ENGIE Group.
- Perform high impact ad hoc analyses to support strategic and operational decisions.
- Translate financial analysis into clear narratives, options and recommendations.
- Act as a trusted finance partner within a complex, international organization, collaborating closely with cross functional stakeholders.
- Deliver ad hoc strategic analyses upon Executive Management request.
- Contribute to finance community engagement, including knowledge sharing and preparation of ad hoc training or communication materials.
We would love to hear from people with
- A Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field
- 5–7 years of experience in financial controlling, financial management, audit or advisory roles.
