Senior Industrial Designer – Furniture

As our Senior Industrial Product Development Designer, you will own the development of Cohabs’ physical product framework across our houses, turning operational needs into practical, scalable and well-designed products and systems.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Define and evolve Cohabs’ physical product framework, including guidelines, technical specifications and product catalog.
• Design and select furniture, fixtures, materials and systems, balancing design, functionality, durability, maintenance and cost.
• Own product topics end to end, turning operational needs and field feedback into scalable solutions - from design and supplier selection to production, logistics and deployment. For example, you could take a recurring issue such as the trash bin system, redesign the solution, validate its cost, source the right supplier and manage its production and rollout.
• Build and manage a supplier network, negotiating pricing, production and logistics in collaboration with Procurement.
• Translate product decisions into clear technical documentation for Project and Property teams, and support them with the maintenance and replacement of installed products.
• Track product costs and ensure solutions remain within budget.
• Monitor new materials, suppliers and manufacturing processes to continuously improve Cohabs’ physical product offering.
• Factor quality and sustainability into product and supplier decisions.
• Collaborate with the VP Product to align the physical product roadmap with Cohabs’ operational and brand goals.

What we’re looking for:

• You have 5+ years of relevant experience, with a degree in industrial design, furniture design, product development or equivalent.
• You have hands‑on experience with suppliers, production and logistics, ideally across furniture, fixtures or physical products.
• You naturally think end-to-end, from functional requirements and design to cost, sourcing, production and deployment.
• You have a strong eye for design while prioritising function, usability, durability, maintenance and scalability.
• You are comfortable designing systems before objects, starting from operational needs and constraints.
• You have solid knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes and quality control.
• You are autonomous, hands‑on and comfortable taking ownership in a fast‑moving scale‑up environment.
• You have strong supplier negotiation and communication skills.
• You speak French and are comfortable working in English.
