Our client, a major organization in the public safety sector, is looking for an experienced professional to lead the development of specialized software applications. The role involves guiding a technical team through complex architectural challenges while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical direction and coordination of a specialized development team.
- Design complex systems with a focus on scalability, security, and performance.
- Build and maintain robust backend services using Python and Django.
- Develop modern frontend interfaces using React.
- Establish coding standards and perform code reviews to ensure technical excellence.
- Translate business requirements into technical implementations in an Agile environment.
- Manage deployments and automation using Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software architecture and system design.
- 8+ years of experience in backend development using Python and Django.
- 8+ years of experience in frontend development with React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- 8+ years of experience with Docker, Docker Compose, and CI/CD processes.
- 8+ years of experience in data-driven application development with SQL and pandas.
- Possess extensive knowledge of API development including REST, SOAP, and GraphQL.
- You have expertise in version control using Git, GitHub, and GitLab.
- You are proactive and solution-oriented with strong communication skills.
- You are fluent in English with active knowledge of Dutch or French.
Nice to Haves
- Willingness to obtain a security clearance.
- Passive knowledge of both Dutch and French.

- Duration: 2 months plus extension
- Work regime: Full-time
- Location: Brussels
- Working model: Hybrid (2 days onsite on Tuesday and Thursday)
