Our client, a leading organization in the telecommunications sector, is looking for an experienced professional to manage the end-to-end preparation and coordination of fiber infrastructure projects. This role focuses on guiding projects from customer order through design, permitting, and site validation to ensure a seamless handover to construction teams.
- Manage multiple infrastructure deployment projects simultaneously from intake through to construction readiness.
- Review network designs and validate technical feasibility in coordination with engineering teams.
- Organize and conduct site visits and surveys to assess project prerequisites.
- Coordinate permit requests and municipal approvals while managing relationships with public authorities and utility companies.
- Monitor project timelines, risks, dependencies, and budgets to ensure quality expectations are met.
- Provide regular status updates and ensure all project documentation is complete and accurate.
- 3+ years of experience in project coordination or project management.
- Professional background in telecom, utilities, infrastructure, or construction.
- Proven experience managing multiple projects concurrently and overseeing field operations or site visits.
- Demonstrated experience with permitting processes and interacting with municipalities or public authorities.
- Strong skills in stakeholder management, planning, and risk management.
- You possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- You are proactive, hands-on, and comfortable in a fast-changing environment.
- You are fluent in Dutch and English.
Nice to Haves
- Knowledge of Fiber network infrastructure and deployment.
- Experience with GIS tools and GIPOD.
- Possession of a VCA certification.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
- Start date: ASAP
- Duration: initial contract until end of year with extension foreseen
- Work regime: Full-time
- Location: Ghent and Mechelen
- Working model: Hybrid (one day per week in Mechelen and frequent onsite visits)
- Contract: open to both permanent employees and freelancers
