Our client, a leading organization in the telecommunications sector, is looking for an experienced professional to manage the end-to-end preparation and coordination of fiber infrastructure projects. This role focuses on guiding projects from customer order through design, permitting, and site validation to ensure a seamless handover to construction teams.

  • Manage multiple infrastructure deployment projects simultaneously from intake through to construction readiness.
  • Review network designs and validate technical feasibility in coordination with engineering teams.
  • Organize and conduct site visits and surveys to assess project prerequisites.
  • Coordinate permit requests and municipal approvals while managing relationships with public authorities and utility companies.
  • Monitor project timelines, risks, dependencies, and budgets to ensure quality expectations are met.
  • Provide regular status updates and ensure all project documentation is complete and accurate.
  • 3+ years of experience in project coordination or project management.
  • Professional background in telecom, utilities, infrastructure, or construction.
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects concurrently and overseeing field operations or site visits.
  • Demonstrated experience with permitting processes and interacting with municipalities or public authorities.
  • Strong skills in stakeholder management, planning, and risk management.
  • You possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • You are proactive, hands-on, and comfortable in a fast-changing environment.
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English.

Nice to Haves

  • Knowledge of Fiber network infrastructure and deployment.
  • Experience with GIS tools and GIPOD.
  • Possession of a VCA certification.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Duration: initial contract until end of year with extension foreseen
  • Work regime: Full-time
  • Location: Ghent and Mechelen
  • Working model: Hybrid (one day per week in Mechelen and frequent onsite visits)
  • Contract: open to both permanent employees and freelancers
