YOUR TASKS

• You support two ongoing projects within the radiotherapy research group: the project ‘Adaptive radiotherapy for oligometastatic disease: a value assessment’ and ‘ARCHERY: a prospective observational study of artificial intelligence-based radiotherapy treatment planning for cervical, head and neck, and prostate cancer’.
• You contribute to the further development and application of time-driven activity-based costing in radiotherapy, with a particular focus on the implementation of innovative healthcare technologies.
• Within the project on online adaptive radiotherapy, you support the further development and evaluation of implementation scenarios and the analysis of clinical and operational data.
• You contribute to the preparation, execution and reporting of prospective and retrospective research activities within the ongoing studies.
• You process and analyse research data and contribute to the interpretation of research results.
• You contribute to scientific reports, publications and presentations for national and international scientific conferences.
• You consult regularly with researchers, clinicians and other stakeholders involved in the research projects.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• You hold a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related discipline.
• You have a keen interest in technological innovations, process optimisation and economic evaluations within the healthcare sector.
• You have an affinity for the implementation of innovative medical technologies in clinical practice.
• You possess strong analytical skills and are able to critically interpret complex datasets.
• You have experience in data analysis, automation and programming, preferably in Python.
• You have experience with, or an interest in, scientific research within the healthcare sector.
• You can work independently, but also function well within a multidisciplinary team.
• You have good oral and written communication skills in Dutch and English.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU

• We offer you a contract of definite duration for 12 months.
• Your contract will start on 1/10/2026 at the earliest.
