Role Description

The Onderhoudstechnieker is a full-time hybrid role based in Ertvelde, with the possibility to perform some tasks from home. In this role, the technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing industrial equipment and systems to ensure smooth and safe operations. Daily activities include performing inspections, diagnosing technical issues, carrying out corrective and preventive maintenance, and documenting work performed. The role also involves coordinating with colleagues and supervisors, ordering or preparing necessary parts and tools, and following safety and quality procedures at all times. The technician may support projects remotely by planning maintenance tasks, updating maintenance records, and communicating with the team using digital tools.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Industrial Maintenance to ensure reliable operation of machinery and installations.
• Ability to perform Maintenance & Repair tasks, including identifying faults and restoring equipment to proper working condition.
• Experience with Preventive Maintenance, including scheduling and executing routine checks to prevent breakdowns.
• Proficient Troubleshooting skills to diagnose mechanical, electrical, or technical issues efficiently.
• Technical education or vocational training in mechanics, electromechanics, or a related field.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in an industrial environment.
• Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and maintenance instructions.
• Strong organizational skills, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills for maintenance reporting and communication; proficiency in Dutch is preferred, with the ability to understand technical English an asset.
