About The Position

What Will You Do?

• Operational systems support: Support, evaluate and optimise operational systems, including Industry 4.0 and MES, to ensure their stability, availability and performance.
• Infrastructure monitoring & technical support: Proactively monitor infrastructure performance and capacity, resolve incidents, perform root-cause analysis and address recurring issues. Provide second-line technical support to the Service Desk and implement preventive improvements.
• OT infrastructure security: Implement security controls, standardised access protocols, system hardening, patches and remediation measures in line with established cybersecurity requirements and standards.
• Backup & disaster recovery: Manage backup infrastructure and restore capabilities, and execute and test disaster recovery procedures to ensure operational continuity.
• User support & training: Provide technical guidance, training and support to users, promoting best practices and ensuring the efficient use of operational systems.
• Production digitalisation: Support initiatives to digitalise production processes, identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to implementing technical solutions.
• System changes & upgrades: Perform changes, upgrades and extensions to operational systems to meet evolving business requirements and support new projects.
• OT architecture & documentation: Maintain technical documentation, guidelines and policies related to OT architecture to support system management and continuity.
• Knowledge sharing & continuous development: Stay informed about developments in OT, Industry 4.0 and IoT, and share technical knowledge and expertise within the System Engineer team.

Who Are You?

• You hold a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• You have 5 to 10 years of experience in Operational Technology, industrial systems or manufacturing IT.
• You have strong technical knowledge of operational technology systems, including MES.
• You have strong problem-solving skills and can diagnose complex technical issues, identify root causes and develop effective solutions.
• You have an analytical mindset and can evaluate system performance, assess operational requirements and recommend improvements.
• You can independently configure, maintain and support operational systems within established standards and procedures.
• You have strong teamwork, collaboration and communication skills.
• You communicate confidently in English
