About the Role

We are looking for an experienced FPGA Engineer to join an innovative engineering team developing high-performance electronic systems for industrial vision applications.

You will be responsible for the design, development, optimisation and validation of FPGA-based solutions for high-speed, data-intensive systems, working closely with multidisciplinary hardware and software teams to deliver reliable, high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and optimise FPGA architectures for high-speed data processing and industrial vision applications.
  • Develop and verify digital logic using VHDL, Verilog or SystemVerilog.
  • Perform simulation, synthesis, timing closure, debugging and on-hardware validation.
  • Work with high-speed interfaces and technologies, including DDR memory, PCI Express, Ethernet and video processing.
  • Use FPGA development environments such as AMD/Xilinx Vivado or Intel Quartus.
  • Develop scripts and automation tools using Python, Tcl or shell scripting.
  • Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to ensure effective system-level integration.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and contribute to continuous product improvement.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in FPGA design and development, ideally within high-speed or data-intensive systems.
  • Strong practical knowledge of VHDL, Verilog or SystemVerilog.
  • Experience with FPGA simulation, synthesis, optimisation, timing closure and hardware validation.
  • Knowledge of at least one of the following: DDR memory interfaces, PCIe, high-speed Ethernet, video processing or video codecs.
  • Familiarity with AMD/Xilinx Vivado or Intel Quartus development toolchains.
  • Experience with debugging tools, version control and scripting languages such as Python, Tcl or shell.
  • Professional proficiency in English; French is an advantage.

What’s on Offer

  • The opportunity to work on innovative industrial vision technology.
  • A technically challenging role involving high-speed FPGA design and advanced data processing.
  • Collaboration with experienced multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Hybrid working arrangements, with up to two days per week working remotely. Fully remote working is not available.
