Dispatcher (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

• You make transport orders and follow them up, solving problems.
• Your responsibilities also include planning for your own drivers and subcontractors and proactively following up on them so that the goods are picked up and delivered on time and as agreed.
• You direct the drivers via transics.
• You keep track of deviations from the loading and/or unloading times, inform the customer and enter the costs in TAS.
• You analyze issues and bring solutions.
• Furthermore, you check the purchase invoices and are responsible for invoicing and general administrative tasks.
• As a dispatcher, you are the central figure between the client and truck driver.

Requirements

• Experience with scheduling drivers within the port of Antwerp is a must.
• You are not afraid of a lot of telephone contact.
• You are very good with computers and learn new IT applications (TAS-Transics) quickly.
• You have a hands‑on mentality and know how to handle a hectic, dynamic and often unpredictable environment.
• You remain calm under stress, know how to keep a good overview and you can multitask well.
• You are social, communicative and a real team player who is administratively strong.
• Common sense, eagerness to learn and drive are more important than the right diploma.
• A good knowledge of English is a must.
• Knowledge of Eastern European languages is nice to have, as well as possessing professional competence.
