KU Leuven invites applications for a PhD project in Quantum Solid-state Physics, focusing on ferroelectric and ferromagnetic heterostructures interfaced with superconducting layers. The goal is electric-field control of superconductivity for low power operation and miniaturization.
The project leverages MBE growth, in-situ characterization and advanced techniques (X-ray scattering, SPM, Atom Probe Tomography, neutron methods) with collaborations at ESRF, DESY, APS and imec Leuven.
