Ready for the next step in your engineering career? At Agfa, you'll take ownership of automation projects that have a direct impact on a high-tech production environment.
Your role
As a Project Engineer Automation, you lead the design and implementation of automation solutions-from concept to commissioning.
You translate technical challenges into smart, scalable systems, combining hardware and software into robust solutions used daily on the production floor.
You manage projects end-to-end, while staying close to the technology. This is not a purely coordinating role-you remain hands-on and technically involved.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead automation projects from concept to implementation
- Design and develop innovative hardware and software solutions
- Optimize existing machines and processes to improve performance and reliability
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (engineering, production, maintenance)
- Ensure smooth implementation and support adoption on the shop floor
- Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation initiatives

Your profile
- Master's degree in Engineering (e.g. Electromechanics, Automation, Computer Science, ...)
- Preferably 3-5 years of experience in automation, engineering, or a technical project environment
- Strong interest in integrating hardware and software
- Hands-on, analytical, and solution-oriented
- Able to take ownership and drive projects forward
- Good communicator and team player
- Fluent in Dutch and English
