Senior Consultant – Research

Our client, a leading pharmaceutical organization, is seeking a Senior Consultant to support a strategic transformation within their research and early development operations. The project focuses on defining a future-state documentation governance strategy, target operating model, and a multi-year implementation roadmap across regulated and non-regulated activities.

Responsibilities

• Assess the maturity and effectiveness of the current documentation governance model while identifying strengths, gaps, and potential risks.
• Define a pragmatic and scalable documentation governance target operating model and clarify accountabilities across business and process owners.
• Identify opportunities for simplification and develop a digital, automated, and data-driven governance model.
• Translate the future-state vision into a prioritized three-year strategy and implementation roadmap including key milestones.
• Facilitate stakeholder discussions and communicate recommendations effectively to senior leadership to drive strategic alignment.
• Develop a digital governance vision covering data, connected workflows, and potential automation or AI use cases.

Requirements

• You have 8+ years of relevant experience in documentation strategy and governance within the pharmaceutical or scientific sector.
• You bring deep expertise in Research and Non-Clinical Development environments, including GLP regulations.
• You possess a proven track record in designing Target Operating Models and transformation roadmaps.
• You're skilled in governance design, risk-based simplification, and digital enablement.
• You have excellent stakeholder management and facilitation skills with the ability to challenge existing practices.
• You are fluent in English.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with integrated documentation-learning frameworks.
• Knowledge of AI use cases for documentation governance and automation.
