Introduction & Summary
The Data Reporting & Visualization Specialist plays a critical role in transforming raw data into actionable insights for business stakeholders. This position bridges the gap between technical data teams and business units, ensuring that data-driven decisions are clear, accessible, and impactful. The specialist focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining interactive reports, dashboards, and visualizations that support strategic and operational decision-making while adhering to banking compliance, data governance, and security standards.
Main Responsibilities
- Understand and identify stakeholders' visualization and reporting needs.
- Capture requirements and translate them into prototypes and full dashboards.
- Collect and assemble data to support the prototyping of visualizations.
- Develop, update, optimize, publish, and decommission dashboards/reports respecting data and reporting governance guidelines.
- Strive for optimal solutions for the development and automation of reports and dashboards.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers to create sustainable data solutions and promote reuse and consistency.
- Set up, advocate for, and implement reporting and visualization best practices.
- Coach junior Data Visualization Specialists.
- Document and train users on effectively maximizing the different tools.
Key Requirements
- Fluent in Dutch, French, and English.
- Master's degree in a quantitative discipline, such as statistics, mathematics, or economics.
- At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in Data Analytics & Visualization.
- Ability to prepare data for visualization and build clear narratives for decision making.
- Proficient in data reporting and visualization tools (e.g., MS Office, Tableau, SAS), as well as data preparation tools.
- Understanding of data governance and security rules.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Python and Power BI.
- Prior experience in Banking and Project Management.
Other Details
Expectations for telework include 50% on-site and 50% remote work. The role is set within a dynamic and multi-cultural environment, requiring strong collaboration and communication skills.
