The ISIA Lab at the University of Mons is seeking a junior research engineer to build agentic systems for process automation and conversational AI for interactive systems. The work involves designing, implementing, and evaluating systems using large language models (LLMs), in collaboration with a motivated team whose skills complement yours.

Sevel projects in our Lab take place in the context of extended reality (XR). You may therefore need to work with tools such as Unity or Unreal Engine. Prior experience with either engine is not required, but you must be willing to learn the tools needed for the work. The focus of the role remains agentic systems and conversational AI.

Evidence of your technical skills is appreciated and will be considered in the selection process. You may include links to a GitHub or Hugging Face profile, publications, projects you have worked on, or other examples that show what you can build.

Selected applicants will be contacted for an interview. Depending on the outcome of the first interview, we may invite candidates to a final interview.

Applications must be submitted by December 18, 2026.
