SAS Platform Administrator – SAS 9.4

Our client, a leading organization in the transportation and infrastructure sector, is looking for a specialist to manage and secure their SAS platform. This role involves administering a Linux-based environment, developing ETL programs, and supporting analytical tools like R and Python. The position combines platform stability management with active development in a large-scale data warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Manage and secure the SAS platform through precise configuration and user role administration.
• Monitor server activity and maintain logging systems to ensure platform stability and performance.
• Establish connectivity with various data sources and manage metadata repositories and folder structures.
• Provide first-line support to power users and perform code reviews for developer programs.
• Install and configure SAS 9 servers in a Linux environment while maintaining technical documentation.
• Develop ETL programs using SAS and SAS/DI within the data warehouse.
• Participate in a weekly standby duty rotation to support platform availability.

Requirements

• You have 5+ years of experience in SAS 9.4 administration under Linux, including installation, patching, and troubleshooting.
• You bring 5+ years of advanced knowledge of Linux environments, including OS services, permissions, and performance logs.
• You possess 2+ years of experience in Shell scripting with bash for automation and system exploitation.
• You're familiar with networking components including DNS, firewalls, and load balancers applied to platform environments.
• You are proactive and solution-oriented with strong communication skills.
• You are fluent in Dutch or French with intermediate knowledge of the other language and English.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with SAS Viya 4, certificates/TLS/PKI, or SSO SAML.
• Knowledge of OpenShift, Kubernetes, or containerization.
• Familiarity with Python, R-platform management, or Microsoft Fabric.
