Plumber (A to Z) - Ghent

Recognised sanitary and central-heating installation company from the Kortrijk area — family business since 1972, around 20 employees.

They carry out large projects: office buildings, apartments, residential care centres, student housing, public buildings, industry and hospitals, both new build and existing buildings, from simple to highly complex installations. Recognition class 6 for sanitary work and class 5 for central heating.

For sites in the Ghent area they are looking for 2 fully qualified self-employed plumbers — no helpers — who carry out the sanitary work from A to Z: first the pipework, then the fitting.

Daily tasks

Phase 1 — pipework

Installing supply lines (cold and hot water)

Installing waste lines, including rainwater drainage

Pipework on large projects (apartments, offices, care) — new build and existing buildings

Pressure and leak testing

Fitting and connecting sanitary appliances

Installing and connecting hot-water appliances: instantaneous water heaters, boilers, heat pumps, solar boilers (depending on the site)

Installing water softeners (depending on the site)

Finishing, commissioning and keeping the site clean

Systems / brands

Sanitary supply and waste pipework

Hot-water production: instantaneous heaters, gas and electric boilers, heat pumps, solar boilers

Water treatment: water softeners

Client works only with high-quality materials

Large machines are supplied by the client

Working conditions

Maximum 10 hours per day - up to 50h per week (Monday to Friday)

Requirements

Must-haves

• Demonstrable experience as a plumber / sanitary installer
• Both pipework and fitting — fully from A to Z, no helpers
• Able to work independently
• Own VAT number or valid A1
• Own transport and basic tools
• Available for around 50h per week

Nice-to-haves

• Experience on large projects (apartment buildings, public buildings, care)
• Able to weld PE waste pipe
• Experience with heat pumps, boilers and central heating
• A duo that already works together
• Living in the Ghent area
• Available for Saturday work
