For one of our clients, a key player in the Belgian energy sector, we are looking for a Designer Specialist - Secondary Systems.
You will join a team responsible for developing and maintaining technical standards for protection, control, automation and measurement systems used in high-voltage installations. You will contribute to the quality and consistency of engineering designs supporting the future of Belgium's electricity grid.
Your mission
- Review and validate standard drawings and technical designs.
- Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) when required.
- Create and update symbols and libraries in AutoCAD.
- Prepare and review electrical schematics, protection diagrams and standard drawings.
- Manage your own planning and ensure timely project delivery.
- Maintain and improve standards and engineering tools using Excel VBA/macros.
- Develop additional Excel-based tools to support engineering activities.
Your profile
- Bachelor's degree in Energy Technology, Electromechanics, Electronics or equivalent through experience.
- Good knowledge of electricity and the ability to read electrical schematics.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of Excel VBA/macros is an asset.
- Initial experience in a similar technical role.
- Fluent in Dutch and/or French with a good command of English.
- Autonomous, organized and quality-oriented.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Interested in innovative technologies and the energy transition.
- Willing to travel occasionally abroad for FAT activities.
