Buyer Project Services

Our client is a key player in the Belgian energy infrastructure sector focused on sustainability and reliability. This role involves the strategic procurement and commercial management of high-value outsourced project activities, including engineering and consultancy services. The position acts as a vital link between internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure optimal quality, risk management, and cost-efficiency.

• Develop and execute category, tender, and sourcing strategies for various outsourced project services.
• Provide commercial guidance to stakeholders throughout the supplier selection and negotiation process.
• Build effective supplier relationships and monitor performance, budgets, and deliverables.
• Identify and manage commercial, contractual, and operational risks with clear mitigation measures.
• Ensure accurate contract implementation and follow-up within ERP and reporting systems.
• Drive process improvements through data analysis, standardization, and practical automation solutions.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration to achieve an optimal balance between service, risk, and cost.

• You have a Master's degree.
• You bring 3+ years of experience in procurement, commercial management, or contract management.
• You possess strong analytical and negotiation skills with the ability to manage complex projects autonomously.
• You're a credible relationship builder who communicates effectively across technical and business teams.
• You are fluent in English and Dutch with professional knowledge of French.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with public procurement, project management, or supplier performance management.
• Interest in reporting and practical automation using Excel or similar tools.
