What you will do
A Belgian public-sector organisation has been investing actively in the digitalisation of its processes and applications, increasingly using the Mendix low-code platform for new developments and modernisation. To ensure continuity, maintainability and further evolution of this application landscape, a multidisciplinary team is being assembled.
As Functional Analyst, your responsibilities include:
- Analysing business needs and translating them into user stories
- Organising and facilitating workshops with business stakeholders
- Creating and maintaining product backlogs
- Developing functional documentation
- Supporting acceptance and validation phases
- Collaborating closely with business services, the internal ICT team and external partners
The work covers a range of activities: developing new functionality, maintaining and optimising existing applications, integrating with internal and external systems, improving performance and user experience, supporting migration and modernisation projects, and transferring knowledge to internal teams.
You will work according to Agile and Scrum principles.
What we are looking for
- Expert-level business analysis and functional analysis skills
- Expert-level communication skills
- Expert-level process optimisation skills
- Junior-level knowledge of Agile and Scrum
- Junior-level knowledge of Mendix development
- Active knowledge of Dutch, French and English

The setting
This assignment runs for 12 months from January 2027. The work is hybrid and based in Brussels. The actual start and volume depend on budget approval.
You can join us for this assignment as a freelancer or as an employee of HumanInTech. Same role, same team. If you join as an employee, your employment continues beyond this assignment. When it ends, we’ll work together to find your next assignment.
