We are seeking a Life Business & Fund Expert for a specialized life insurer. In this role, you’ll serve as the right-hand person to the Director of Insurance and hold a key position within the Life Insurance department. You’ll combine fund management, financial control, reporting, and process improvement, while having the freedom to actively contribute to the organization’s continued professional development. As a Life Insurance Business & Fund Expert, you are responsible for monitoring and overseeing the investment funds within the company’s life insurance operations. In addition, you play a key role in further optimizing processes, reporting, and operational activities within the department.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

  • Monitoring, auditing, and valuing internal collective funds.
  • Preparing, verifying, and submitting fund orders.
  • Performing accounting audits and reconciling assets and liabilities.
  • Monitoring returns, risks, ESG criteria, and investment strategies.
  • Drafting and preparing quarterly reports, semi-annual reports, and regulatory filings.
  • Maintaining contact with asset managers, custodian banks, and other external partners.
  • Identifying discrepancies and formulating proposals for improvement.
  • Actively participating in automation and optimization initiatives.
  • Supporting colleagues with your expertise and serving as a substantive sounding board.
  • Collaborating on various projects related to reporting, performance, and operational efficiency.
  • Gradually assuming responsibilities within the Life Insurance department and working closely with the Director of Insurance.

This position offers a unique combination of financial analysis, fund management, insurance expertise, and business optimization. You are an experienced professional in the life insurance sector who enjoys combining analytical work with a pragmatic approach. You like to contribute ideas for improvements and feel comfortable in an environment where you can take the initiative independently.

In addition, you have:

  • A master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics and Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a similar economic or financial field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in life insurance.
  • Knowledge of Branch 23, fund management, financial reporting, or related insurance activities.
  • Excellent proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • A hands-on mindset and a natural interest in process optimization and automation.
  • The maturity to take on projects independently and serve as a trusted advisor to management.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.

You’ll be joining a stable and specialized life insurance company where expertise, autonomy, and collaboration are key.

In exchange for your commitment, you can count on:

  • An attractive compensation package tailored to your experience and expertise.
  • A comprehensive package of fringe benefits.
  • Group and hospitalization insurance.
  • Meal vouchers.
  • Flexible working hours.
  • The option to work from home two days a week.
  • A challenging expert role with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Direct collaboration with management.
  • The opportunity to have a tangible impact on processes, reporting, and the further development of the Life Insurance department.
  • A warm, close-knit organization where initiative is valued and decisions are made quickly.

Why this role? Because you won’t be taking on a traditional administrative role here, but rather a broad expert role in which you’ll combine financial expertise, insurance knowledge, and business insights to actively help shape the future of the department.
