We’re currently looking for a new team member to join our squad in Antwerp.
As an Account Manager, you are responsible for nurturing and expanding customer relationships by safeguarding operational and commercial processes while identifying new business opportunities. You actively contribute to the growth of the company by developing a strong client portfolio and maintaining long-term partnerships.
Job Requirements
Your key responsibilities include:
- Visiting existing clients and prospects and preparing clear visit reports
- Identifying commercial growth opportunities and converting them into additional revenue
- Building a strong professional network to support long-term company growth
- Expanding and strengthening the customer portfolio
- Advising customers on our services and solutions
- Negotiating rates and commercial conditions
- Preparing quotations and ensuring accurate follow-up
- Acting as the primary contact for customer complaints
- Participating in trade fairs and industry events
- Ensuring correct and timely communication toward all involved internal departments
- Delivering structured commercial reporting
- Coordinating tender management by gathering internal input, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, preparing competitive proposals and delivering all documentation on time and in high quality
Knowledge is Power
Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Bachelor level or equivalent through relevant professional experience
- Proven experience in a commercial role
- Understanding of sea, road, air, rail, and inland navigation transport regulations
- Solid knowledge of forwarding processes
