Job Purpose

As Vx Platform ASTL Lead, within Global Manufacturing Science & Technology department, you will lead a team of Product analytical experts, you will define and lead the implementation of end-to-end analytical control strategies, support technology transfers and provide technical expertise across the products lifecycle, while ensuring new product introduction and product-related strategic programs deployment within the Global Supply Chain (GSC).

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Coach and develop a team of Analytical Science & Technology leaders.
  • Own end-to-end analytical control strategies, specifications and comparability process using technical expertise in driving structure-function relationships as they apply to analytical attributes
  • Lead cross-functional, cross-site teams, covering all analytical aspects in the frame of GSK strategic products and projects
  • Present topics under responsibility and influence global stakeholders within projects governing bodies.
  • Coordinate complex analytical investigations, driving problem solving in creative and practical ways, using advanced data analytics and digital acumen
  • Provide scientific support and mentorship in the development, optimization, and implementation of new methods or modern analytical platform technologies
  • Be accountable for the analytical sections of lifecycle regulatory submissions and RTQ process (cross functional review and approval)

  • Reporting line: Senior Director, Head of Analytical Science and Technology Leads
  • Team management: 5 to 7 direct reports
  • Primary location: Rosia (Italy)
  • Secondary locations: Wavre (Belgium) or Marietta (Pennsylvania, US)
  • Working model: Hybrid with limited business travel

Basic Qualification

We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals:

  • BSc or higher in a relevant scientific field
  • Senior experience in analytical technologies, method development and validation
  • Knowledge of Quality by Design, risk management, GMP, NPI and manufacturing operations.
  • Experience supporting regulatory interactions and submissions for vaccines or biotherapeutics.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills in a global matrix environment.

Preferred Qualification

  • PhD in a relevant scientific discipline
  • Technology transfer, root-cause investigation and regulatory strategy experience.
  • Advanced data analytics, digital fluency and creative problem-solving.
