Are you the driven professional who can make a difference in operational risk management? As a First Line Risk & Compliance Consultant, you’ll play a crucial role in conducting controls, analyzing risks, and improving processes within a leading financial organization. With your experience in a regulated environment and in-depth knowledge of compliance, you’ll be able to report valuable insights and follow through on action plans. You perform first-line controls, assess them, and document the results;
You identify and analyze operational and compliance risks within the organization;
You evaluate and improve existing processes and controls to ensure their effectiveness;
You ask critical questions about risk analyses and control measures to challenge them;
You prepare clear reports containing insights, findings, and recommendations;
You closely monitor action items and remediation plans;
You report to management on risks, controls, and improvement initiatives;
You record, track, and report risks, controls, findings, and action items in the GRC platform.

Has at least 5 years of experience in operational risk management, internal controls, compliance, or a similar role;
Has gained experience in a regulated financial setting, such as at a bank, securities firm, or other financial institution;
Possesses in-depth knowledge of one or more of the following areas: anti-money laundering (AML) legislation, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), DORA, outsourcing, third-party risk management, product approval processes, and business continuity management;
Has experience with MetricStream or an equivalent governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) platform;
Utilizes strong analytical skills and maintains a critical perspective;
Is hands‑on, solution-oriented, and able to work independently;
Is fluent in Dutch, French, and English at a professional level, both spoken and written;
Has a professional communication style and can collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
