Internal Communications Specialist

EY Belgium is looking for an experienced and hands‑on Internal Communications Specialist to temporarily strengthen our Brand & Growth team during a period of leave. We are looking for a team player with professional experience in communications who can quickly step into the role and support our ongoing internal communications activities. Strong writing and editing skills, a hands‑on mindset and the ability to work with different internal stakeholders are key.

This is a temporary position to support the team during a period of leave. We are looking for someone who can start by mid‑November at the latest and who is available at least until the end of March, with some flexibility for a limited extension if needed. The role is open on a part‑time basis, for a minimum of 3 days per week and preferably 4 days per week.

As an Internal Communications Specialist at EY Belgium, you will support the team in delivering clear, timely and engaging communications to our people. You will work closely with the Internal Communications Lead and other members of the Brand & Growth team. Your focus will be on the day‑to‑day delivery of internal communications, ranging from internal campaigns and content creation to hands‑on communication support for stakeholders across the organization.

A particular focus will be on supporting our Markets and People communications, as well as communications around key topics such as AI, ESG and other business and people priorities. The role combines content creation with coordination and stakeholder support. You will help translate sometimes complex messages into communications that are clear, relevant and engaging, while ensuring colleagues can easily access the information they need.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Internal communications and campaigns: Support the planning and execution of internal communication campaigns and initiatives, including content creation, implementation and follow‑up.
• Content creation: Write, edit and adapt engaging content for our different internal communication channels and audiences.
• Markets and People communications: Provide hands‑on communication support for ongoing Markets and People initiatives, helping translate priorities and updates into relevant communications for colleagues.
• Strategic topics: Support communications around important themes such as AI, ESG and other topics relevant to our business and our people.
• Stakeholder support: Work with internal stakeholders to help them communicate their messages effectively, clearly and in a timely way.
• Video and visual storytelling: Where relevant, support the creation of visual or video content. Experience with video creation, scripting, filming or editing is considered an asset, but is not a requirement.
• Brand and culture: Ensure internal communications are aligned with EY’s brand, culture and values.

Your Profile

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in communications, ideally with experience in internal or corporate communications.
• A degree in communications or a related discipline.
• Strong writing and editing skills and a keen eye for detail.
• The ability to translate complex information into clear and engaging communication.
• A hands‑on and flexible approach, with the ability to quickly get up to speed and contribute to ongoing activities.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage different priorities and deadlines.
• Confidence in working with and supporting different internal stakeholders.
• Strong English skills, with fluency in Dutch and/or French.
• Experience or affinity with video and visual storytelling is an asset, but not a must.
