About EAVI
Established in 2005 as an international non-profit association, EAVI, the European Association for Viewers Interests, is the first organisation working on media literacy at the European level.
EAVI has two main objectives: First, to raise awareness of the media-related issues that impact lives directly or indirectly and to equip citizens with media literacy skills necessary to navigate the ever-evolving media landscape, and second, to inform EU policy-making processes by ensuring the representation of citizens’ interests and acting as a bridge between citizens, stakeholders, and EU institutions.
EAVI participates in and coordinates several EU-wide projects, and conducts its activities in policy, advocacy, research, content creation, publishing, communication, and event organisation. As a trusted voice, EAVI has, on behalf of the European Commission, authored many EU-wide studies and maintains a vast European network across 27 EU member states with 62 partner organisations.
Recently, EAVI has also been one of the partners organising Voices, the European Festival of Journalism and Media Freedom, whose editions take place across Europe and draw thousands of participants. EAVI is a member of several international forums and networks and has delivered speeches at more than 100 international conferences across Europe and beyond, as well as organising its own conferences at national and European parliamentary houses.
What will you do?
Communication and Design: Coordinating EAVI’s content development and dissemination activities in its yearly programme and EU projects (CERV, Erasmus+, Horizon Europe, and EuropeAid), along with its online presence, websites, social media accounts, publications and newsletters by creating, editing, and publishing engaging audio-visual and textual content on EAVI’s platforms. It includes short videos, social media campaigns, podcast series, banners, infographics, and blog posts on a number of EAVI topics (disinformation, media literacy, AI literacy, digital wellbeing, and so on).
The position also requires developing and implementing a long‑term communication strategy for EAVI, supporting the implementation of international events such as the European Festival of Journalism and Media Freedom and the Democracy and Information Festival, and collaborating with EAVI’s project partners and stakeholders.
Be aware that we expect you to be involved in many EAVI activities.
We are a small team, and we value and need each contribution.
You will report to and be under the supervision of the General Manager, Semih Solmaz.
