What are you working on?
Help bring a new generation of battery sensing ICs to market by developing reference systems and supporting customers worldwide.
Specifically, as a Senior Application Engineer in Tessenderlo, your tasks will include:
- Develop embedded software, drivers and Python-based evaluation tools
- Build Battery Management System (BMS) reference platforms to demonstrate the performance of Melexis battery sensing ICs
- Support Tier 1 and Tier 2 customers, on-site and remotely, in hardware integration, software implementation and technical troubleshooting
- Debug hardware and firmware issues using laboratory equipment and battery emulators
- Translate customer feedback into product requirements together with IC design teams
- Create application notes, reference designs and software documentation
- Collaborate with an international multidisciplinary engineering team

What is your added value?
The Ideal Senior Application Engineer has/is:
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Embedded Systems or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in Application Engineering, Firmware Engineering or Systems Engineering
- Experience with hardware and Embedded C, basic knowledge of Python, PCB layouts and low-level communication protocols (SPI, I2C,...)
- Strong understanding of mixed-signal fundamentals and knowledge of Battery Management Systems
- Self-driven, hands-on team player with excellent communication skills
