Brussel Hoofdstad, Belgique Morrison Finance Temps plein 90 000 € - 130 000 € Contrat

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Credit Risk Management Consultant to join our team at Morrison Finance. The successful candidate will support the Risk department of a major banking group in implementing CRR3 (Basel IV) for credit risk. The role covers impact analysis, implementation and testing of the new rules in capital calculation and regulatory reporting. This is a hands‑on role that requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities and a solid understanding of the prudential framework and of credit risk data flows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze the impact of CRR3 on credit risk capital requirements (RWA): the revised Standardised Approach (SA-CR), the new IRB constraints (input floors, restrictions on A-IRB) and the output floor.
  • Translate the new requirements into business and functional specifications: exposure classes, real estate treatment, specialised lending, off-balance sheet CCFs, defaulted exposures, credit risk mitigation and due diligence on external ratings.
  • Support the implementation and testing (UAT) of the changes in RWA calculation engines, data flows and COREP credit risk templates.
  • Perform reconciliations and data quality checks on credit exposures, collateral and ratings. Investigate anomalies with data owners and strengthen the control framework.
  • Support risk data aggregation and data governance work in line with BCBS 239: data lineage, traceability of RWA and exposure calculations, and data quality controls, using SQL-based analysis.
  • Analyze variations in RWA and capital ratios, identify the key drivers and give clear explanations to management, internal stakeholders and the supervisor.
  • Collaborate closely with Risk, Finance, Credit, IT and data teams, and contribute to Pillar 3 disclosures, ICAAP-related work and the automation of processes.

Profile:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in credit risk management, credit risk modelling/RWA or prudential regulatory reporting within the banking sector or a risk consulting firm.
  • Profiles with at least 5 years as a Business Analyst specialised in credit risk and regulatory capital (CRR/CRR3) are also welcome.
  • Hands‑on experience with credit risk capital calculation (Standardised and/or IRB approaches) and RWA.
  • Sound knowledge of the CRR/CRD framework, of CRR3 changes for credit risk and of the related EBA ITS/RTS and COREP credit risk templates.
  • Advanced SQL skills (mandatory): you can query, reconcile and trace exposure data on your own.
  • Advanced Excel skills (mandatory).
  • Good knowledge of Python for data analysis and automation.
  • Good knowledge of BCBS 239 principles (risk data aggregation, data lineage, data quality).
  • Previous involvement in a regulatory change programme (Basel IV / CRR3, IFRS 9 or similar) is a strong asset.
  • Previous experience within a large Belgian or European banking group is a strong asset.
  • Excellent command of English + French and/or Dutch.
  • Nice to have: RWA/regulatory reporting solutions (e.g. AxiomSL/Adenza, Moody’s Analytics, Wolters Kluwer OneSumX, SAS), data lineage or data governance tools (e.g. Collibra, Informatica), VBA, Power BI, and knowledge of IFRS 9, ICAAP, capital planning and credit risk stress testing.
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Proactive, solution‑oriented and with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Excellent communication skills and a true team player, able to bridge business, risk and IT.
  • Capable of working autonomously under tight regulatory deadlines.
  • Flexible and adaptable to evolving project needs.
  • Fast learner.
