Aartselaar, Antwerpen, Belgique HumanInTech Temps plein 42 000 € - 54 000 € Contrat

What you will do

You will support the NIS2 implementation and audit preparation for a Belgian public organisation in the water sector, classified as essential under the directive.

In this second-line role, you will independently assess the quality of documentation and implementation evidence submitted by the domains (first line) against CyFun guidance. You will validate that the evidence supports the scores and is not based on assumptions, ensuring it will withstand external auditor scrutiny. You will provide feedback to domain owners and formulate concrete improvement points they can act on.

You will also build dossiers, including an evidence register, that can be presented to the auditor without rework.

The initial focus is on reaching the "important" level, with continued support after April 2027 to prepare for the "essential" level.

You will report to the CISO, who will support you with methodology, escalation and any questions. The first line is responsible for self‑assessment, providing evidence and remediation.

What we are looking for

  • 3 to 6 years of experience in information security, compliance or IT audit
  • Familiarity with control frameworks such as CyFun, ISO 27001 and/or NIST CSF
  • Ability to interpret and assess technical evidence such as configuration exports, log files, tickets, recovery reports and scan reports
  • A critical, analytical and independent attitude
  • Native or bilingual proficiency in Dutch
  • English is a plus

Your role is situated in the second line and does not include operational tasks such as penetration testing, SOC activities or engineering.
