  • Operate and develop advanced endurance test rigs, running component tests on complete transmissions for hybrid and full electric powertrains.
  • Program and automate tests: develop and improve test sequences on a real time platform, with Python and CANape as automation tools.
  • Take ownership of assigned test rigs, ensuring high-quality and safe operation, routine maintenance, necessary upgrades and continuous efficiency improvements.
  • Act as the primary contact for operational issues, resolving problems systematically to prevent recurrence.
  • Look beyond the task at hand: identify related issues during testing, raise them and take them up to improve testing quality and efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with validation and test engineering, test rig operators, technicians and various R&D departments to execute and optimize testing processes.
  • Develop tools and documentation to standardize operation across test rigs, using Key Performance Indicators to enhance testing quality and efficiency.
  • You will be working in the R&D Test Center department where automatic transmissions, hybrid and full electric prototype powertrains are assembled and validated.

Profil recherché :

Background

  • Engineering degree (mechanical, electromechanical, mechatronics or equivalent).
  • First professional experience after graduation, ideally around 2 years, in physical testing of mechanical or electromechanical systems on a test bench or in the field.
  • Hands-on programming skills are required: you can read code and write it yourself. The language matters less than the ability; Python is a strong asset.
  • Good understanding of mechanical systems: torque, speed, load, rotating machinery, sensors and how they connect together. Transmission-specific knowledge can be learned on site.
  • Strong analytical reasoning.
  • Knowledge of test automation, data acquisition, CAN and Vector tools (CANape) is an asset.
  • Knowledge of hybrid and electric powertrains, high voltage applications or control theory is a plus.

Attitude and competences

  • You take initiative and work autonomously: you do not stop once a problem is solved, but look around for what else can be improved in the testing process.
  • This role demands a proactive, innovative and structured approach to ensure the reliability and continuous improvement of the testing capabilities.
  • Thanks to your structured way of working, together with clear communication skills and a good knowledge of English, you are continuously on the look-out for improvements and committed to implementing them.
  • You have strong problem solving skills and are familiar with related methods.
  • You enjoy hands-on work on the test bench, together with technicians.
