What you will do
You will secure the organisation's data according to the security labels assigned by data owners, in compliance with federal information security policy. Your work will involve setting up and configuring the Microsoft Purview system to ensure data is protected according to its classification level.
Working closely with the data manager, you will:
- Gather security requirements for all datasets, including Teams, file directories and databases
- Configure Microsoft Purview to enforce the appropriate security controls
- Implement data loss prevention measures, such as preventing strictly confidential data from leaving the organisation
- Set up information protection, DLP and auto-labelling features
The total estimated effort is 50 working days over the six-month period.
What we are looking for
- Minimum bachelor's degree in IT
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies, including practical experience with Microsoft Purview
- Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft M365 E5 administration
- Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Purview (information protection, DLP, auto-labelling)
- Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Defender
- Certification as Information Protection Administrator (SC-400) or applied skills in Microsoft Purview DLP is preferred
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Active knowledge of Dutch or French, plus active knowledge of English
You will be asked to provide a document describing your recent experience and achievements with Purview.
The setting
This assignment runs for six months, starting as soon as possible and ending in April 2027. You will work two days per week on-site in Brussels, with the remaining days remote.
You can join us for this assignment as a freelancer or as an employee of HumanInTech. Same role, same team. If you join as an employee, your employment continues beyond this assignment. When it ends, we’ll work together to find your next assignment.
