Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate curriculum for Foundation Phase learners, incorporating play-based learning methodologies.
• Create a stimulating, supportive, and safe classroom environment that promotes curiosity and a love for learning.
• Assess student progress through observation, formal and informal evaluations, and maintain detailed records.
• Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure effective communication regarding student development and well-being.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively, fostering positive social interactions and emotional regulation among young children.

Requirements

• A recognized qualification in Foundation Phase teaching, such as a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.).
• Experience working with young children (Grades R-3) in a formal educational setting.
• Strong understanding of early childhood development principles and pedagogical approaches.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• A passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering the holistic development of every child.
