From our Intervention Center in Sint‑Pieters‑Leeuw, the continuity of the natural gas network is ensured.

As part of the work carried out on this network, the Intervention Center is responsible for the construction, modification, and maintenance of gas transmission installations. To achieve this, specialized teams work daily on welded structures, mechanical assembly, and logistical support, both in the workshop and at construction sites throughout Belgium. The Intervention Center operates in accordance with the ISO 9001 quality standard and VCA requirements in all its activities.

We are currently looking for aFitter/Driver (m/f).

Job purpose

As a Driver/Fitter, you support our Intervention Center both from the workshop and on‑site at construction projects throughout Belgium.

Your responsibilities

You will start with thorough in‑house training to qualify to operate all types of vehicles and equipment used at the Intervention Center site, on public roads, and at work sites. This includes light vehicles, forklifts, overhead cranes, heavy trucks with trailers, and truck‑mounted cranes.

Initially, you will work mainly at the Intervention Center in Sint‑Pieters‑Leeuw. After an onboarding period, you will also be responsible for transporting personnel and equipment from the Sint‑Pieters‑Leeuw depot to various work sites throughout Belgium.

You will assist welders and fitters in carrying out interventions on the Fluxys natural gas network.

When working in the workshops in Sint‑Pieters‑Leeuw, you will also perform assembly tasks as assigned by colleagues and assist in carrying out tests, including strength and tightness (leak‑tightness) testing.

About you

• Preferably, you hold a technical diploma in Mechanics or Electromechanics, although this is not a requirement.
• Most importantly, you have a strong interest in technical work and are eager to develop your technical skills.
• You demonstrate a strong team spirit, a sense of responsibility, and a results‑driven mindset.
• You have a good command of Dutch.
• You hold a valid Category B driving licence. Additional driving licences are considered an asset, or you are willing to obtain them in the future.
