We're now looking for a [Insert concise job title] who will make us move.</p><p>As a Senior Data Architect, you will be responsible for defining and implementing the enterprise-wide data architecture that supports critical business initiatives and drives data-driven decision-making. You'll shape the structure, governance, and strategic roadmap of data assets across the organization¿ensuring data is accessible, secure, integrated, and aligned with evolving business needs.</p><p>You'll collaborate with senior stakeholders in IT, analytics, and the business to architect scalable data solutions across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments¿balancing innovation with long-term sustainability.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Design and evolve enterprise data architecture, aligning with business strategies and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Lead data modelling efforts across operational and analytical domains (OLTP/OLAP), including conceptual, logical, and physical models.</li><li>Promote a hands-on, pragmatic approach towards data architecture and the overall team dynamic</li><li>Define and implement data standards, policies, and governance frameworks.</li><li>Guide the architecture of data platforms, support self-service, AI, Dashboarding and real-time streaming solutions.</li><li>Partner with Data Engineers, Analysts, Architects, and Business stakeholders to ensure data quality, accessibility, and lineage.</li><li>Influence senior stakeholders and business owners across the organisation (38K, global)</li><li>Evaluate and recommend technologies and tools for data integration, storage, cataloguing, and analytics.</li><li>Ensure data architecture enables AI/ML, advanced analytics, and reporting initiatives.</li><li>Support compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, or other regulatory standards depending on the region/industry.</li><li>Provide architectural oversight and leadership across data-related projects and programs.</li><li>Mentor junior data architects and engineers, contributing to a strong data architecture community.</li></ul><h3>Profil</h3><p>We do not only deliver letters and parcels, but also opportunities. This job is open to all with diverse backgrounds and talents, possessing the following profile:<br></p><ul><li>Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.</li><li>8+ years of experience in large scale data architecture or related fields (over 100m events); 3+ years in a senior or enterprise role.</li><li>Strong hands-on expertise in data architecture design for cloud (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) and hybrid environments.</li><li>Deep knowledge of data modelling techniques, ETL/ELT pipelines, automation (CICD scripting, Airflow...) and data lifecycle management.</li><li>Experience with streaming data is a strong asset (Kafka, Flink...). Experience with Semantic integration and Ontology also assets.</li><li>Familiarity with modern data stacks: Snowflake, Databricks, DBT, etc.</li><li>Understanding of data security, master data management (MDM), data mesh, and metadata management.</li><li>Excellent communication (business fluent English, French and/or Dutch are a plus) and leadership skills with the ability to translate complex data topics for business audiences.</li><li>Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments is a plus.</li><li>2 days per week (minimum) hybrid office presence.</li></ul><p>Like a long-awaited parcel, we want to make you feel welcome and valued.
