About the role

You manage our road and intermodal operations with full P&L (profit and loss account) responsibility. You develop strategic customer relationships (KAM), build and develop the team and scale FTL and ideally intermodal operations. You report directly to the regional directorate and are responsible for quality, growth and profitability.

Information about the transition phase: The position starts in fully remote mode (home office) until the director defines and opens a physical location/office in Belgium. The job will then transition to a stationary mode (office + client visits) at the chosen location. Example cities (indicative, optional): Brussels, Liège, Charleroi, Namur, Mons, La Louvière, Tournai, Verviers, Mouscron, Arlon.

Responsibilities

  • P&L management: Budget planning, commission margin, forecasts, profitability; reporting directly to the region/management.
  • Business development: Acquisition and development of partnerships with key customers; active sales support for strategic contracts.
  • Management and development: Recruitment, coaching (Junior → Senior), resource planning; clear objectives/KPIs.
  • Operational excellence: TMS processes, timeliness, quality; coordination with back-office (invoicing/collection).
  • Reporting and strategy: periodic reviews; implementation of a road map for the branch.

Candidate profile

  • 3-5+ years of managerial experience in logistics/forwarding (Road/FTL; Intermodal welcome).
  • Proven experience in P&L, KPI management, contract negotiations, KAM.
  • Fluent in French; English min. B2 (knowledge of Dutch would be an asset).
  • A work culture based on results and clear indicators.
  • Orders: Junior 50+, Mid 80+, Senior 120+.

  • Intermodal net turnover: Junior €22,989-29,886; Mid €34,483-45,977; Senior €50,575-57,471.
