Lesico Process Piping is growing its Belgian operations, and we're looking for two skilled, hands-on technicians to join our team on a high-tech semiconductor cleanroom project. If you take pride in precise work, clean cuts and doing the job right the first time, this is for you.
You'll be based at our project site in Leuven. There you'll measure, cut, modify and install metal raised floor tiles (perforated, solid and specialised grating) around piping, cabling and process equipment. It's precision work in one of the most demanding environments in the industry, where cleanliness, safety and tight tolerances matter on every cut.
Alongside floor tile work, you'll support wider mechanical installation on site. That makes this a varied role for a true mechanical all-rounder.
We are hiring for two positions. Candidates must already hold the right to work in Belgium (EU/EEA/Swiss passport), as we are unable to sponsor work permits.
What You'll Own
Floor Tile Modification & Installation
- Accurately measure, mark, cut and bevel raised metal floor tiles (aluminium and steel) using specialised cutting tools, including portable saws, nibblers, precision grinders and magnetic-base tools.
- Deburr and smooth every cut edge to prevent particle generation and safety hazards.
- Fit and level floor tiles precisely around equipment, pipe penetrations, utility drops and support pedestals.
Mechanical Installation
- Carry out light structural and mechanical assembly, including adjusting raised floor pedestals, stringers and bracing systems.
- Support general cleanroom mechanical installation, including pipe support mounting and framing, as the project requires.
Cleanroom Compliance & Safety
- Work strictly to ISO cleanroom protocols: particle control, proper tool wiping, and bag-in/bag-out of materials.
- Use HEPA-filtered local vacuum extraction during all cutting and grinding.
- Follow all site EHS standards, including Hot Work permits, risk assessments and correct PPE and cleanroom garments.
Who You Are
- Have 2-3+ years' experience as a mechanical technician, fitter, metal fabricator or industrial installer.
- Have proven experience working inside cleanroom environments, ideally in semiconductor, pharmaceutical or nanotechnology.
- Have hands-on experience cutting and modifying raised access flooring (metal floor tiles, aluminium grating). This is a strong plus.
- Are confident with precision power and hand tools: angle grinders, reciprocating saws, jigsaws, deburring tools and measuring instruments.
- Can read technical drawings, isometric layouts and floor plans.
- Have strong spatial awareness and sharp attention to detail for tight-tolerance work.
- Have a true cleanroom mindset, understanding contamination control and working meticulously clean.
- Put safety first, especially around hot work and metal debris.
- Are adaptable and happy to take on general mechanical tasks beyond floor tiles as the project evolves.
- Are a good team player who communicates clearly with supervisors and safety leads.
- Already hold the right to work in Belgium (EU/EEA/Swiss passport). We cannot sponsor work permits.
- Are based in Belgium or within commuting distance of Leuven.
- Speak good English; Dutch and/or French is a plus.
Nice to Have
- VCA, OSHA, CSCS or equivalent safety certification.
- Hot Work permit training or cleanroom protocol awareness training.
- MEWP (mobile elevating work platform) or forklift certification.
What We Offer
- A competitive salary that reflects your experience, plus a strong benefits package.
- The chance to work on a leading-edge semiconductor cleanroom project.
- A dynamic, international project team where quality work is recognised.
- Room to broaden your skills across a range of mechanical installation work.
Why This Role
This is skilled, precise work where your craftsmanship shows in every finished floor. You'll be part of a team delivering cleanroom infrastructure to the highest standards, in an environment where getting it right matters. If you're a careful, capable technician who enjoys variety and takes pride in a clean job, we'd love to hear from you.
We look forward to receiving your application and exploring how we can grow together.
